page-break-inside

The page-break-inside property allows you to specify whether a page break occurs inside a tag when you print the page.

You can have the following values:

  • always — forces a page break
  • auto — uses default page breaks. I can’t see why you would use it because it is the same as doing nothing
  • avoid — avoid a page break inside the tag. This stops the tag splitting across two pages. The browser might move the tag to the next page or adjust the spacing on the page
  • left — forces a page break on left hand pages
  • right — forces a page break on right hand pages
