This section describes the properties you can use to create outlines: a bit like borders except outlines apply to things such as buttons, active form fields, image maps, etc. to make them stand out. CSS2 outlines differ from borders in the following ways:
The outline properties control the style of these dynamic outlines. You can use the shortcut outline property to set the width, style or colour for all the outlines. Alternatively, use the outline-width property, the outline-style property and the outline-color property to set the width, style and colour separately. |
